    Not so much with Betty, but I was convinced my RIReds were roo's because of their large combs, that's why I got Betty and my two other sex links, thinking I had three roos. Fortunately they all turned out to be pullets.....

    Most feed stores, pet stores, and even WalMart have them, yes on line as well. I haven't had the problems others have mentioned with it getting dirty. I use sand in their run, and zeolite in the coop.In the picture you can see the cement block i have it raised up on to the level of their backs...

I started to say heat rises, so putting the heat source underneath the waterer will be much more effective than it radiating down.
