comb I agree. Crest I was like something is wrong. Did your line come from Louisiana? If so I know who your talking about. I see you have clear toe nails. When I've had a few they usually have turned black by that age. I'm guessing they are 3 weeks old. Pam

I have the same line. Also keep a spare roo just in case. I have chicks the same age they are so cute. I'm happy to sell whatever sex you need. Green fire farms sells straight run. Sometimes they will see an older breed quality chicken but they aren't 99.00 like the chicks. Ewe crazy sells them...

I just hatched more. They are easy to hatch and very Hardy.. My husband is working in pontchatula. Pam

It gets easier. I have some due to hatch in two days so far every hona egg made it. I have a few other breeds in there too. Pam

I'm new to this thread but have had Svart Honas for a year. I find them very Hardy breed and easy to hatch. Right now I have hatching eggs,chicks, and juvinels hatched March 2. Plus my original breeders. They are greenfire rooster X ewe crazy hens. Pam
