Probably not. Some breeders actually use a toe punch to mark babies from each line. They put a different number of holes in different places on the feet to indicate the lineage of the birds.

I did have a little trouble with feather nipping in my juvenile pen this past summer. I originally thought it was the geese, but it turned out to be the anconas & khakis...little brats!

Could you post your website link? I'm on a cell so can't see siggies & such. Alger (Skidway Lake) looks to be about an hour or so north east of you, so it wouldn't be very far out of the way at all considering the trip to their place is over 6 hours anyway. It may add an hour on the way home.

Precisely. And the bigger eggs tend to take much more damage in shipping probably because there is so much more room inside for everything to get shaken around.

I've found babies ship much better than eggs, especially the larger eggs.

I am assuming they are using it in a similar manner to boost energy in a sick or weak bird. I do the same with brown sugar in water for sick/weak birds. Brown sugar is a mix of granulated sugar & molasses.

Molasses is for an energy boost. I have dry molasses added to my winter feed mix to help keep weight on my birds & give them extra energy to keep warm.
