This http://www.redheart.com/articles/macrame-patterns-and-knots And this http://www.myfrenchtwist.com/easy-tutorial-for-basic-macrame-knots/ My mom used to make plant hangers using macrame knots. I just thought for the ramp, it might work to tie them all with twine. I am sure other knots would...

When I suggested tarp, I meant over hardware cloth. Or she could put corrugated plastic roof material. That might be expensive though, but it would allow light to shine through.

Can you just put hardware cloth or something similar over the top since you won't be able to climb in that would be a good top. Then maybe part of it put a tarp over to keep part of it dry and provide shade.

From what I saw on the listings, you could buy more panels to make a top? This listing has a pic on how they attached it to a prefab. https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/12-Aviary-Panels-for-Chicken-Run-Kennel-Ducklings-Rabbits-Guinea-Cat-Dog-pets/2068226725?iid=251898699361

4.59 x 2.9 x 2.88 I had to convert to feet. This is roughly 10 sq ft. Just barely enough for one duck. The second one each panel is 3 x2 - which is 8x6 in feet. 48sq ft. Better. The last one is about 2x3 ft. 6sq feet. Not enough room at all. Plus, it is low. Your best bet would be the middle...

What are the dimensions of the top two? I like the one with the top - because you would only have to add an apron for diggers, but you could add a top to the others. The 3rd one looks like you would have to add hw cloth and a top. But, not sure what you deal with as far as predators in the UK...
