One of the highest laying chicken is the Austrolop(sp). Its a black hen, olive colored eggs. Record has it a hen laid 364 eggs in one year. She took a day off to rest. :)

And you will have to wait till they (hens) decide to lay also. Mine are 5 months old and just hanging out.
