Yes I’m looking at that now. My husband has done it to older birds and he’s ok with that. He did it as a child lol. Not me. I hate this but yes going to get him to put the poor thing out of its suffering immediately.

It also now seems to be laboured breathing. My husband thought to put it back with the mom and let nature take its course but I don’t think that’s a good idea. Others may peck at it or it could pass infection maybe? Shouldn’t take the chance. Do you agree?

Hi I need help. Have a chick that has a clear intestine looking thing on its belly. Are intestines red? Looking at other pics this looks different. It’s clear. Is it umbilical or egg remnants. It is still way around its belly and legs so worried it is something serious and leaking. It is weak...
