I don't think they need a broody at this point, just a few weeks in a grow out cage, with the ability to see the other hens and chicks for integration.
nightmares, from the pellet gun, or the rat that would not leave my coop when I was about 2 feet away from him and waited for me to go in the house and come back with the pellet gun?
The babies would have stayed out and played longer, but the moms were done trying to keep track of them I think and wanted to go back in. :lau:lau
ETA: they are about 3 weeks old now
wish I could have cropped this so it would be easier to see, we let the 2 moms and their chicks out together for about 45 minutes today, while the other 4 adult hens were locked up. It went fairly well and we will do this again tomorrow. The chicks got along better than the moms. The moms...
