The first post was updated daily while this experiment was live.
I believe I mention it quite a few times throughout the thread too.

I don't really want to, but if you insist I'll think about changing it.

It is easier to find if the name stays the same, people just need to remember to check page 1 if they haven't been keeping up. Do what you think is best for you, no arm twisting allowed.

wish I could have cropped this so it would be easier to see, we let the 2 moms and their chicks out together for about 45 minutes today, while the other 4 adult hens were locked up. It went fairly well and we will do this again tomorrow. The chicks got along better than the moms. The moms are still very protective. One let out an extremely loud, shrill scream, we looked up and saw a hawk. WIll try to get better pictures tomorrow, was afraid to get too close, didn't want to scare them.

They are getting so big!

My wanna-be broody was sitting on the nest for a few hours this morning and I got my hopes again. But nah, off the nest by noon, leaving a beautiful feather lined nest and two golf balls. But she got a nice dust bath in, and made sure she was first in line for the meal worms.

The babies would have stayed out and played longer, but the moms were done trying to keep track of them I think and wanted to go back in.
ETA: they are about 3 weeks old now
