Also, when searching for new brands remember the salt rule. Dog food packaging loves to blow photos of cranberries and all these great ingredints up to the size of a football. When you look at the packaging, find salt, or another fancy name for salt on the ingredints label. Anything below that...

We used to feed SD to our cats. Swithced to AvoDerm and Taste of the Wild recently. Their litter box smells SOOOO much better! It smelt bad before. Its definitely no good.

Thats what I would do if I ever had to switch from raw. Same with @black_cat's method. I think that kibble is fine, just adding natural adding like veggies and things to give them some variety, and fresh nutrients is always a plus. :) Cool thread!

I read into that brand it seemed pretty good. A friend of mine wanted to try switching brands back and forth, that one caught my eye.

What about a fresh or air dried food? Its MUCH more expensive, but not to much pricier than an expensive kibble. Plus, you could always mix it with the kibble. Thats similar to what I do for my cats since I'm not up for doing raw all around. I give them and freeze dried organ meat supplement...

Thats what I fed before raw, seemed like pretty good stuff.

Homemade raw dog food. I'm planning on switching to BJ's raw pet food premium mix soon. Seems to be the same price same quality as my own, and I'm don't have to make it. ;)
