    That would tie the panels together, but not really "hold the shape". May also add weight, which might move them in a direction not desired.

    The main spreaders are 2x2's with notches in the ends.

    Mow very low first, 'scalp' the grass...then lay down the apron good and flat and let the grass grow back up.

    Depends on how shallow the arch is. And what kind of panels.....cattle panels are much less strong than hog panels due to larger rod spacing. Yes. They don't make vinyl coated livestock panel(to my knowledge).
