Everyone in our house made it through the storm without problems. The chicks were so happy to be back in their coop on Sunday afternoon. It was damp outside and the ground was squishy, but it pretty much had dried up by late afternoon.

We're getting tropical storm winds now - it's been windy most of the day but these gusts are way bigger. I can feel them shake the house every now and then. Praying nothing gets damaged and glad Irene went more east then originally expected. We'll probably loose power again as it's far too...
It's been raining pretty hard and the wind gusts on occassion have shook the house. The coop is still standing strong - so maybe it would have handled it fine - but this is our 1st year with it - so better safe I say.

The rain & winds were just starting here in NoVa at 8:30am. After my agonizing over what to do, DH finally threw up his hands and said he didn't care what I did. So I went out in the wind/rain and brought the WLs inside and am keeping them in the play area inside a tub with a window screen...
We just had a pre Irene thunderstorm roll through with possible wind gusts to 60mph - and I do believe a couple of times that may have happened as our windows shook and screens rattled. I didn't lock the chicks in their coop yet b/c it was just supposed to be a thunderstorm - not a severe...
