Hatch complete! 18 out of 27 Easter Eggers set, 1 out of 4 Bielefelder eggs set (it's a pullet!) and 0 out of 5 Gamefowl eggs set.

I have a dog that is fine supervised but as soon as we leave he'll go after the chickens. Dogs act differently when we are not around.

I have 13 chicks out now. Day 21 was yesterday but I did a staggered hatch and also have eggs on day 20. So we'll see what happens. So far I'm not too happy with this hatch. None of the Gamefowl or Bielefelders have even pipped and of the 13 that hatched I originally set 27.

They are Belgian Malinois :)

Aww that's too bad about the frizzles and I'm crossing my fingers on those cold eggs! I found someone near me that has frizzled naked necks so I think I may ask if she sells hatching eggs (I only saw chicks and roosters on her listings). We are now down to 2 Gamefowl eggs. Really hoping they...

Out of 27 Easter Eggers I've removed two so far: 1 infertile and 1 quitter on day 11. I also removed 1 out of the 5 Gamefowl eggs, it had a huge crack upon candling (also a quitter). There's a Bielefelder egg i'm not too sure about so I'm leaving it in.

I love frizzles, I'm really hoping to add 1 to my flock next year. I set 27 Easter Egger eggs (various hens under an Easter Egger rooster and a Legbar rooster), 4 Bielefelder eggs and 5 Gamefowl eggs from a friend's flock (hopefully all goes well since they had a 2 hour drive and were 1 week old...
