    Here is how my birds are kept under much colder conditions than your birds experience. Mine so kept are adult American Games in good feather and weight. Currently ground is covered in snow.

    Looks mild if frost bit at all. How is she walking? Keep that heat lamp well away from the straw. Show a picture where she actually confined to see if there are ways to make so low temperatures not so problematic. Show picture of dead hen.
