You should be fine. Mine spiked up to 106 one night and the chicks made it until we had a power outage a week later. They didn't mind the higher temp but 65 was too low for them.
Well, my first hatch is over with 4/10. Not great but I'm learning. 2 weren't fertilized, or didn't make it far if they were and 4 made it to lockdown but that's it. We lost power last week and I'm pretty sure that did them in.
I processed my BR Roos around 17 weeks and used the meat for fried...

It's day 20 for me and I just heard my first ever incubator peep. No pips yet but I'm excited and nervous. My boys are sick of hearing about chicks and chickens so you lovely people are my only excitement outlet.
This is our third batch of chicks (first set to get to laying age!) due to a combination of our dogs, neighbor dogs, and natural predators. We learned a lot, like free ranging is not an option unless I am right there watching.
Also, I just candled my first attempt at day 8 and 10/12 have visible...
Second grade in Virginia. The kids can't wait to hatch "their" eggs. Some of them had classroom hatches before and that bunch is more excited than the ones who haven't. Chicken math is starting early in them! !
I set 12 RIR eggs 1/3/17 and am completely hooked. This is my first go round with eggs and I am nervous and very excited! I'm testing my ability before I attempt a hatch in my classroom. Wish me luck!
