Looks good...you might try laying down more bricks farther out or find some cheap chain link fencing matl. Lay the fencing matl. flat on the ground. The digger may not be smart enough to start that far away be deterred and lose interest. I'm afraid that one row of bricks will not be enough...
I went with the airy feel of a giant bird cage. Next phase will be installing a roof. The open wall in the back will be where the hen boxes will be mounted. Picked up some cedar wedge type planks for the lid.
I purchased the hardware cloth at a local ag store...it was half the price if not more, than lowes or home depot. I couldn't beleive it. So what did I do...I went back for more...lol
I built a hoop coop using 1/2" hardware cloth...a neighbors lab stopped by for a visit one night. Happy to say all 8 girls are still clucking. My neighbor next door not so lucky, he lost 7 hens..."lab + poultry wire = dead chicks"
