I finally got my blue turken eggs today!!!! Yay!!!!! He sent 25......1 on the top was smashed, but it was the only one. They are settling right now. I cleaned my bator and letting it dry to reset humidity. Guess the EHD is the 31st (my hubbys bday)

Are you doing dry incubation? I never had good luck with that. Ended up with my twisted foot chicken then. 1st batch hatched 0/13, then 1/14. For Brinsea bators, their instructions say 40-50% during incubation. Up to 60-70% when see 1st pip. My 1st thought when you mentioned twisted foot...

EastinChickens- Ohhhhhhhh a blue orp....how pretty !!!!!! My1 is a Buff. However, Im waiting on some blue turken eggs. The person sending them has crossed turkens with blue orps. 80% will be naked necks and 20% will look like blue orps. Im excited and hoping to get both!

Im happy to report that my black turken hatchling that couldnt stand up on its own, is standing up and walking today. I had him/her in the coffee mug for nearly 24 hrs and it worked. Was a little wobbly on the feet when I took him/her out, but it hadnt been able to walk around being in the mug...

Well, my black turken that I had to help zip was still alive when I got up today. But its still on its side trying to get up. I really dont think its going to make it.

I went and removed the shell and membrane in the zip formation. The black chick got out on its own but looks like has swollen bottom side (maybe it just had absorbed the yolk?). So it is up and moving around in the morning. No pips in the other 2 turken eggs or my other RIR/Red Star egg Now...

Wait till the others are done hatching! The chickies should be dry and fluffy!

Earlier this evening, another turken hatched, then 2 of my eggs RIR/Red Star chicks. Last time I had checked, only 1 was zipping and the one pipped at the wrong end wasnt doing much! So thats 2 out of my 4 so far, and 1 isnt due to hatch till the 9th! 4 turkens total. Still waiting on the...
