Working... Last week was vacay and I'm back at work meeting with mental health client. Good for you for doing the repair! I have these grand ideas to make improvements, but somehow in real life the solution is 3-10 times more challenging then it was in my head. :)

@cheeka Thanks for sharing! I "tick" at my chickens too! I do it especially if I need to calm them. I do a louder version I have to move things near the coop at night, so they realize it is me and not a predator.
This was from a Barred Rock that started laying two weeks ago, and there was no yolk. My boss just gave me a bunch of quail eggs, and that was almost the same size!
Doesn't Mortie say hers sound like geese? I have a bantam that screams every once in a while. It gets my attention, usually she is just complaining about another chicken walking too close, the wind blowing or the angle of the sun. It hasn't ever been an emergency.

@AthenaT
Your chickens look well loved, and you have a radiant smile!
I understand about hand-me-downs, most of my clothes were given to me or are thrift store finds. Right now I am spoiled with a very nice phone. :)
That is great to hear that your rescue chickens are doing well! Chickens are great :) Duh!!
If you can get the internet on your phone, you can post from your phone itself. Just click on the button that looks like a couple of mountain peaks in a square at the top of the reply box. Then it will...

I am sorry that you are having health struggles that are affecting doing what you want to do. That can be so discouraging. My poor DH has been getting a lot of headaches the past few weeks. :(
