@Gembeag my girls are doing great. The last week finally getting 12 eggs! Then one skipped the other day so 11. How old are your girls now? They must be getting big. Are they squatting when you get near them?

We had a great wedding and only spent a few days on the coast here in Maine. Going somewhere next summer, probably the Dominican Republic. That pic is so cute! It is funny watching them develop their own personalities and the mischief they will get into. Haha

I'm to paranoid to let mine wander, my road is super busy. My girls are doing great. Getting usually 10 eggs everyday. I can't wait to see my girls this morning. I've been gone for 3 days for my wedding and a short honeymoon so my niece and nephew have been taking care of them.

yeah we have been eating them, they are delicious! I had 2 eggs Saturday (their first day laying), 2 again on Sunday and yesterday I had 5 eggs with hard shells and 3 with soft shells. Once they started I think all the others are trying hard to lay also. I don't know today's count yet. I will...

I don't think so. I had 5 that had tail feathers that looked like a roosters tail. When they did their mini moult around 12 weeks they lost them and have normal ones now. The red sex links hatcheries sort by color. Did you buy them as pullets?

Opened up their nesting boxes today. That's them checking them out. Ended up trying shavings in them. If they kick it all out then I will get some hay. Figured with them being 16 weeks now, I better get them opened up. Now just hoping for some eggs! :)

I still have no eggs. They will be 15 weeks tomorrow. They are getting closer. I hope soon though! Ya mine lost alot of feathers as they were growing. And been molting lately. But they don't have bald spots so that's how I know they are molting. I am beyond excited to find that first egg...

mine are doing great! They are getting bigger everyday. Anxiously awaiting eggs even though I have a little ways to go yet since they are 13 weeks today. I'm hoping they will be like some and lay at 14 or 15 weeks but knowing my luck they will hold out as long as possible. Haha Glad to hear your...

Are you reaching in from the top of the brooder? If so then they do get scared. If you can come in from the side of the brooder they say it helps. I used to take mine out when they were younger and be on the same level as them and just talk to them softly. They became more accepting to my voice...

How are your girls doing? Mine are doing great. Gave them watermelon the other day and they absolutely love it! They like strawberries as long as I hand feed them. Once it touches the ground they won't eat the strawberries. Lol

Awesome! I bet they loved it and hated to go back in. I found out last night that 4 of mine are sleeping in the eves of my coop instead of the roost. Haha
