That happens. The stuff really is a good sealant. If you ever catch a hen laying an egg in the box, you’ll see how wet they are coming out. It sets and dries really quickly.
No, it doesn’t mean you waited too long. I just brush off the bedding, feathers, and sand particles. I wash any that have poop on them, but otherwise just put them in the carton. My big deal is just not having poop in the carton.
Yeah, bedding and other things will stick to the bloom before the egg fully dries. I’ve also noticed when I boil eggs, the bloom rubs off when I dry them. It’s almost like glue stick.
