Just an update...she now has 7 chicks running around and amazingly the last egg has a pip in it this morning... I was going to throw it away last night but thought I felt it move.... That would make 11 eggs in bator 100% hatch (one died after hatching) 8 eggs under broody...if the last hatches...

thanks..she had 5 buff and 5 paint eggs to begin with...1 didn't make it and she ate it early on..the egg...not a chick!...then I dropped a flippin egg on sunday...it was a paint chick and very much alive but I couldn't help it...so...just paints and buff....

Yes ...I just saw the first chick under mommas butt...she was a little white head sticking out all fluffy and perfect...only hope there are some spots on her back there....but I definitely heard two different peeps...I still didn't move or touch momma as today is hatch day and I didn't want to...

I have chicks peeping under my broody this afternoon...but I haven't seen any yet...am too scared to try and move her to see...I'll just have to wait....yay!

possibly....there's no telluing with paint yet...nobody really knows...you would have to breed her back to a paint roo to see if she threw paint chicks...

yes they should but some do develop them but they are not spotted as good....
