Well the last two years I have always put on a clutch to hatch on Christmas eve...I loved having chicks hatch Christmas day...

aww...now you have me thinking of starting that tradition here. lol Thus far the only tradition in this house is putting Christmas decorations out on Halloween (since we can't stand Halloween).

I bet chicklets would be a great Christmas festivity!

Hey feathered. You can give the weak chick hard boiled eggs. Take the shell off it and mush it real small. Another thing is fried egg. I had one that liked it fried with runny yolk. The poor thing needed a bath but he ate.lol. With the eggs you don't need any grit. Just make sure the eggs are not to hot when you give it to them.

im putting a half a dozen white leghorn eggs and half a dozen Minorca eggs under my one broody hen. Will she be able to sit on 12 eggs without breaking them and will they hatch before October ends??????????
