checked on babies today after work, I have 3 sets. Under the one hen, she had 9 babies, today she had 8. One got sqashed or something today, may it RIP. head count, now 19

ALL DONE HATCHING HERE !!!!!!!!! 20 eggs out of 37 hatched. not fantastic, but, not bad. my buff hens are definitely the most fertile, as all their eggs hatched but 2. some neat colors. one mama hen tried to take my arm off when getting the water dish out. she's a viscious little thing.

well, I got baby #8 today and baby #9 trying to pop out. and they are 4 days beyond 21 days. so my advice to all, don't be eager to throw out unhatched eggs immediately after due date. wait a week. I could have thrown out 3 babies already, whew.
