    We having the same problem . The chicken part LOL - to old for the other. All nests are full and eggs down to 5 a day. Was going to let the broodys do a hatch now that we are caught up. Problem is not enough eggs. Its always something with chickens.

    We didn't get the snow but we have chickens sailing all over the place with 25 knot winds gusting to 35 - It was a funny sight- they come upwind and then turn around down wind and those big tails would go up in the air like a sailing jib and off they would go. Chickens are such great entertainment

    Are your quail for the table ? What type and are the also acceptable to turn wild ? Had thought about it here. We get out PT turnips out of the deer plots we plant . I add it in the seed mix.

    Had a frost last night and freeze expected tonight. We use fine chips in the coops and I fork it into a 300# fertilizer spreader and spin it out. Helps grass and garden .Feathers and all. How old is the cockerel in pic ?
