Now it's making more sense to me. When I grabbed chicks out of the bin, I had a broody in desperate need of chicks, I thought they were all the same. Shows you what I get for thinking.
Thanks Kentucky and Cowgirl. I would never have thought to order a minorca, but I'm glad that's what she is. Her and I are working on building a friendship.
I heard back from Ideal today. Their simple reply was that she is a black sex link. Sex link?!?!? This pullet is no more a sex link than I am (and I don't intend to start laying eggs anytime soon!)
Here's some (hopefully) better pics of her and since Ideal was of no help (my first negative...
I'll try to get more pics. I'm avoiding going outside right now because I don't do well in 104* heat.
I can tell that she doesn't have the same body shape as your girl. My little pullet "Rose" is more streamlined.

This is true. My LF brahmas were a full 18 months to two years old before they were totally grown. The sex links purchased at the same time as this girl have started laying. I know she's not even close.

Her pale face does confuse me a bit, but I don't think Ideal Hatchery (feedstore supplier) deals in white faced black spanish. I could be wrong.
I'm 17 weeks (4 mo. one week) old. I looked just like my black sex link "siblings" until I started to feather out. Now I look completely different and I'm not as mature as they are. I was purchased at the feedstore as a "sexed heavy pullet" and raised by a broody hen. I am all black with a...
