    ray's two cents : Oh, Isa Browns! My neighbours' look exactly like yours, so perhaps that's what they have too. Yeah went to get two more chickens this morning and the poultry guy said that ISA Browns are very good layers and would most likely get at least an egg a day some types only lay once...

    Those chicks are simply gorgeous..... Well Robert went to Rooster heaven this morning, now off to my local poultry place to pick up a new point of lay chicken for her. She promptly told me before she left for school the colour she wanted and its name will be "Daisy"..... deary me.. life goes...

    Trying to figure out what sex-link chickens are, will google it in a minute.... My daughter's school got eggs just before the easter break, they incubated and hatched them for the kids to see what happens. Once hatched and about a week old, they offered the kids the chicks to take home...

    As we are very new to this I really dont know much about breeds, probably the bush variety.... I can post a pic and if you know you can tell me...... Here they are talking to the neighbours.... the hens, lulu and tiny are brown and white and robert the rooster is still growing mostly white...

    Hi there I am a new member here from Brisbane, 2 hens and a rooster..... our neighbours have 4 chickens and their neighbours have 4 chickens as well so feeling quite at home here with my little brood.... - 2 eggs a day since they started laying so am happy so far, they are Easter chicks so...
