well, ended up with 9 chicks hatching and found one zipping when I moved the others to the brooder. Hopefully this little one makes it and i didn't mess it up too much!!! It was zipping the entire bottom part of the shell, not a normal zip at all so I couldn't see it... Pretty great...

i'm sorry to hear! I have a baby and dog too...I can completely understand how easy that can happen though

well, so far on day 21 we've got about 7 pips out of the 11 eggs set in lockdown. woo hoo common' chickies you can do it, eh!

Just fired up the incubator, getting it all ready and steady for our eggs. Collected a dozen from our girls this last week, so excited to see what the little fuzz balls will be like! Hoping (if the incubator regulates easy) to be setting tomorrow or the next day, that'll be putting our hatch...

BOO! I'll be joining this hatch a long! I'll be setting eggs sometime in the next week or two, will be hatching from our own chickens this time who are Black Copper Maran Crosses. This will be my second time incubating so far. Excited to see what we'll be getting! I'll be starting to...
