Yeah, the male isn't QUITE a Darth Vader, so I named him Anakin. ;) He's finally got the hang of guarding, and has stopped running around like a ninny. I'm curious to see what the 16th-17 will bring.
One of the eggs keeps rolling out, so I put a handful of bedding in front of her little hidey hole. She immediately began collecting it to keep her eggs in place!
My goodness, this seems to be very rare with button quail, but I seem to have a hen that wants to sit! Scirocco has at least 2 eggs under her -- double absurd points for starting during.... December. She is SMOL and ANGY.
