Button Quail Sitting on Eggs!

My goodness, this seems to be very rare with button quail, but I seem to have a hen that wants to sit! Scirocco has at least 2 eggs under her -- double absurd points for starting during.... December. She is SMOL and ANGY.

One of the eggs keeps rolling out, so I put a handful of bedding in front of her little hidey hole. She immediately began collecting it to keep her eggs in place!

I use this when they are broody and she builds a giant nest to help keep them warm and roll the eggs around to hatch, you can even leave 2-3 handfuls near her hide and she will come out and take it back to the nest in some cases the guy helps

Thank you!!! I'll definitely put more in there for her. The guy just keeps running back and forth, he doesn't seem to be too helpful yet, LOL.

He's on guard they do that if u leave him some near her hide or semi near he will either rest with her or near her on guard in the fake nest not always though
