I ordered a Black Ameraucana and an Olive Egger from Meyer Hatchery on the same order, hatched Oct 14th. Meyer are known to use Black Ameraucanas for their Olive Egger hybrids.

I can’t tell the two apart other than one has a bigger messier tail (front) and one has a smaller neater tail (rear). Neither are laying yet.

I was going to say the one with fluffy cheeks would be the OE, but in these pics, both appear to have them. If that's the case, you have two OEs.

I have a Bantam Ameraucana from Meyer and she has that longer/"messier" look to her rear feathers, so my *guess* would be that the one in the front is the Ameraucana. You may need to wait until they start laying...😅
I have a 3 yr old Olive Egger from Meyer and she's the reason I ordered another. I'm super happy I ended up with her clone!!! But she has the wider/heavier body of the messier tail one, but the neater/shorter tail of the other.

So at this point....who the hell knows??

I think the OE is the one on the right. It looks like she has a longer comb and looser feathers all over. You should get nice eggs out of both, with the OE outlaying the Ameraucana depending on what the hatchery used in the cross. I've got some home grown OE and there is quite a bit of variation in feathering with the black ones. Some don't have beards and muffs, others are pretty fluffy.

My vote is the Ameraucana is on the left! That’s based solely on the only difference I can see between the two-the combs. The low profile of the comb on the bird on the left looks like the slow development of a pea comb whereas the one on the right looks slightly more developed and maybe influenced by another breed. They look nearly identical though so who knows!
