If you go to my site, you will see on my incubation page how I do with my Brinsea. I don't play with anything, no weighing etc. I put the eggs in, add water every 3 to 4 days and that is it. I almost always have super hatches with this little Brinsea and when the time comes that I have to be a...
On my web site: http://jimspetsandpoultry.weebly.com on the incubation page is info w/pictures on how I set up my brinsea 20 eco I love it for incubation but I don't like it for hatching only because it doesn't have much head room for chicks. lol I hatch in a foam one. lol
I just had...
I agree with you with their customer service. My brinsea thermometer quit working last Feb. and they told me to send the top back and they fixed it no problems and sent it back really quick and it has been fine since. No charge at all. I've read some complaints but I think a lot of times it is...
Mine usually start to hatch on day 20 and usually finish up on day 21. I've not had the problem yet with the shrink wrap. It sounds like yours is a little to hot. I'd turn the little red thing on the brinsea back 1/4 turn and then see where the temps are. You have to make sure that the humidity...
I've used my Brinsea Eco 20 quite a bit, in fact I have eggs in there right now. My therm that is in the brinsea is reading 102 but I've always used a therm/humid thing from Walmart and it always reads 99 or 100. I went by that. Now, I figure if the one in the brinsea is reading 102, then it is...
I'm so glad that they are taking care of it for you. They fixed mine and sent it back and I have eggs in there right now, I candled them a night or two ago and they are looking really good. 9 out of 10 look to be developing well.

If your friend lives close, I would let them contact Brinsea. If it is still under warranty they should honor it. I had put eggs in my just before Easter this spring and on the second day the thermostat quit working on me. I called, they said it was still under warranty, I sent it back, they...
I never had that problem. As I've said, I only used my Brinsea for one hatch but it stayed in the high 70's on humidity and I didn't have to help any out. I had 12 eggs in there and had 10 to hatch. I have a coal furnace also so you know that that is dry heat and I hatched in February. I filled...
I guess this came from my dear old mother. She always told us not to bother with mother nature. lol I love seeing them but I usually leave them alone till the end of day 21 and see how they did. lol The more we fool with them the more nervous we get wondering about things that we have no...
The number is 6. My gosh, what mouthy kids. They must be hungry already. Geez zo whiz. lol I really didn't fool to see how many more pips etc yet. I don't bother them to mush on hatch day. Just a peek now and then.
Jim
Don't know if you remember my telling you that my chicks usually start pipping and sometimes hatch on day 20. Well I put 20 eggs in lock down Wednesday night because Saturday will be day 21. I set them 11 P.M. on the 6th making three weeks the 27th (tomorrow). I just now looked in the incubator...
That's right, you can't count the ones that aren't fertile. You may get a few more but even if you don't 11 from 15 is good hatch rate. The spirit of Mr. Chicken was with you. ha,ha. Now just don't forget, if you are planning on hatching more, order you a new ac plug for your hova bator. You...
Hey you, I'm really happy for what's going on. lol I bet you were trembling taking out the first ones. ha,ha. Will be waiting to hear the end turn out.
Jim
If you go back around post #360 or so I think you will find where some did this. I haven't and it seems that the eggs would be tossed around when the bator was turned back and forth. ??????
I have had them sometimes that would not do anything then all of a sudden I'd look and there were a couple of chicks out of the eggs. Some are so fast about it and others take their good old time. Mostly though mine were all done by the end of day 21. This year though it seems they are slower...
