It was nice & cool today. Open up all the windows. Well the open windows reminded the guinea hen lots of other birds were outside. She screened buckwheat all morning long! We move the hospital coop next to one of the guinea pens & took her outside. Dh & I agree the spot on her leg is small now...

Thought her leg was closing up, but took her out tonight & in the struggle her leg busted open again. Can't figure out how it came open I didn't touch it & dont think she scrapped it. It is bleeding but not bad. Put more Meds on it. IT doesn't bother her at all, but an open bloody leg can't be...

    Wounded guinea

The spot on her Leg appears to be dry. Before it almost seemed wet or moist. I don't think the lump will go away, so my plan is to make sure that the flesh is fully closed & then allow her to go back with the flock. Wounded guinea

Oh & she is for sure a girl. She has been screaming buck wheat at me since she heard me up & moving around. The leg really doesn't appear to be bothering her. I know their is a bird lady about 45 min from here. Going to see if she will take a look at her. Might be an avian vet in okc??

    Wounded guinea

Quote: Never herd of blu-kote. I will look into it. With the tee tree oil I mix it with a carrier oil & that does dilute it. I don't believe 3 or 4 drops of the oil is enough to have damaging effects. I know many that use lots of essential oils with their animals & I also know those that...
