EweSheep, I remember that pain like it was yesterday and it was 7 years ago!! It does pass quickly though and I am praying that you are completely cancer FREE!!! Be good to yourself and do something to pamper yourself. You deserve it
Hi Y'all. I haven't been on here since this thread began. Life took a series of horrible nosedives but I am getting my sea legs again and here I am again. Just wanted to say, March 3rd was my 7 year all clear from breast and thyroid cancer. I am so grateful to be alive and see and hear...
See, everything happens for a GOOD reason!! That is fantastic news that you found a lady to see, you are going to get in sooner and she is close to home.. Win.. Win.. Win... Hallelujah!!! See, prayers work
Just one more blip in the road. I had to switch doctors in the middle of my treatment too and I know how frustrating and scarey it is. The hospital I work for decided to "self-insure" right in the middle of my treatments. So I started with Mercy (Catholic Health Care West) for my chemo...
I mean this from the bottom of my heart... you can call me 24/7 with any question or concern or freak out or sense of peace or just want to talk or confused or lonely or ... whatever.... I really am here for you. I understand that sense that this just has to be some kind of weird mistake...
deglycerinated licorice tablets available at most health food stores. They are little brown pasty tablets. Chemo attacks the rapidly dividing cells (which is why more aggressive cancers are more susceptible to it) and the endothileal cells in your digestive track happen to fall into this...

I have been out of town, so out of touch for a few days, so I just saw this!
Luna... as a surgical nurse I can tell you that that much bruising following your surgery is NOT in any way normal... it is called a hematoma. There is normally none, but a very small amount just right around...
of gratitude and relief!! Luna... I am soooo happy for you that all went smoothly!! You are well on your way to recovery and perfect health!! Keep going dear sister.... DONT OVERDO! and that's an order!!
Oh I just couldn't wait to get off work and get on here to find out how you did!!!! Still praying you are doing well and can't wait to hear!! God Bless you!!! Suz
You know I will be praying for you!!!! You are going to do great and after a day or two, you will wish you had done it 10 years ago. Don't forget to take your laptop to the hopsital so you can keep us all up to date LOL
I also had the "open" hysterectomy" and 4 weeks later I was trekking through Mexico, literally... Never felt better. Not everyone recovers so fast, but you will do GREAT!!!! It is a blessing upon blessing that they caught it early. I think you will feel very relieved when it is all over...
Lunachick, as a two time cancer survivor (breast and thyroid) I can tell you unequivically... THERE IS LIFE AFTER CANCER!!! And I had a hysterectomy in 2007 and it was a breeze and I wish I had done it 10 years ago. You will do GREAT!!!!!! And that hystersister site is fabulous. You...
