    We have a bald eagle about three hundred yards away.And a Osprey? that is near the eagle by the lake. Racoons and skunks also. I had to put down one of my brown LH chicks.It had a broken leg.Im guessing it was smaller than the others and got run into.It was preety sad,It didnt put up any fight...

    We have been watching some chipmunks and the babys running around. The bees and weeds are happening now.I put my electric fence setup back up.The snow wasnt kind to the wires. The crows when they call out,really get my chickens attention.

    Im thinking that one of those things that sprays water at any movement would be fun with hawks trying to land on or near a coop. I had a lady tell me all her bantams got killed by cats.Bob cats and coyotes are famous for snacking on peoples pets.

    I also have an electric fence.But the snow kinda did it in. Iv read many horror storys ,and saw videos on youtube.

    Im for some kind of fencing or at least netting on the top. I even wire on the ground under the coop. Or just live with feeding critters. I do both.Good layers and my project birds stay safe. And some more expendable birds wander the property so they help keep the bugs in check.
