Thanks for the info, I think you are probably right about it, the more I have looked at her. She is a good mother to the chicks she has now, isn't the friendliest, and is also very bossy. I think she might be starting to lay again. Her chicks are about 8 weeks old.

Both look very similar to me-how do you say for sure that she is a Dark Cornish? Sorry-I'm definitely not a chicken expert (can you tell??)...

Their mom and one baby (cupcake) look like this: She looks exactly like a pic of a GLW (the pic of the week 2 weeks back). Maybe she is just a mutt..who knows. The babies are definitely mutts though.

Thanks guys-can you tell my daughter named them? After cupcakes, sprinkles, and chocolate chips? Do you really think Chip is a pullet? He/she is MUCH bigger than the rest... And do you think they are all GLW or mutts?

I have four, 8 week old chicks that I am curious to see what sex they are. I have my suspicions but I'll wait to see if I am right (I am new to this so I am probably all wrong!!) Their mother is a GLW (I think) at least the hen that sat on them is a GLW so I am thinking they are all the same...
