Oh yep that makes sense they're probably a runner/swedish cross. I got mine for my birthday last yr, five blue swedish hens, three black swede st run, two buff orp st run and three cayugas st run. Out of thirteen we got four boys which is pretty good.
Sorta look like it idk might be a blue/black cross cute. To be a swedish they need to have white chests black bodies and white tips on the wings. However if its slightly dif thats ok. They may be a splash.
your drake looks like a khaki cambell with a black swedish and your hen looks like a cayuga. Sorry to say they probably not swedish however they look so sweet.
I dont think the first is a full black swede because he is brown. I have hatchery cayugas and they are so black that there feathers shine green in the sun. Maybe yours is a khaki cambell mix with a black swedish that would be my guess .
Hi the tuft is not a defect they actually breed tufted swedish. Which are probably a cross between a white crested pekin and a blue or black swedish . Anyhow i got some swedes last year and I just love them so much.
I have little blue swedish girls and boys.
Left Lucy, right Molly.
Black swedish. Genders are unknown
Another black swedish just hopin its a girl
Molly has black dots on her is that normal. Anyhow they are almost four weeks old and i luv them.
