I know, before when my group started, it took ages before we got a perfect day. This time it happened the day the last one laid her first egg. The next day I got 2 (boo!) and today I got like 4. We're trying to help them decide to lay in the nest box...that's probably unsettling them a little...

Cheeka! I take a break for a few days and cheeka shows up! Funny I am in co for vacation and now you're gone. Well the day after I last complained about the low number of layers I have so far, one of the olive Eggers decided to get in on the action.

No more new layers. Ducky has laid an egg every day since she started and the black chicken has except maybe one day. They are still laying them on the floor (jerks) but oh well I guess.

Same two chickens laid eggs today. One brown and one blue. Guess what I'm about to eat? 4 pullet eggs!

W4W you shoulda took a day trip up by me! We have them here too. Your best bet to see the most possible is to go to like a field of knee high or so grass...that's where I tend to see them the most. I love them.

There have been bait eggs in the boxes for a couple of weeks. Basically since they hit 18 weeks

Now if I could only talk them into laying them in the nest instead of on the coop floor.

Today we had another first timer, and ducky laid another. I saw ducky on the webcam getting ready...we didnt see the one who laid the blue one but I only have one ameraucana so...

Not nearly as much as my FIRST first egg. We brought the coop and everything over with us when we moved, just got rid of the chickens because we knew it would be a while before we were set up for them properly. So we pretty much had everything still, just no chickens.
