    Predators don't bother my raised pond due it's location within a barn foundation and being up next to a barn. I also float plastic duck decoys and have cinder blocks with large hole for cover for them.

    Do as I did and eliminate all hiding spots for growing babies and the adults will eat the eggs, and any that hatch. I only had breeding one year with my goldfish, by the next year they were big enough to eat up any that survived past the egg stage.

    With large water changes you can keep them in less. I give mine 5-10 gallons each. I've had the same fish for 15 years. They go between a 125 gallon tank and a 250 gallon pond.

    I currently have 2 tanks running, come fall it will go back to 3 when my big goldfish come in from my raised pond. I have a 125 and a 55 for goldfish and a 75 for tropicals. Mostly angels, Cory cats, gourami, and black skirt tetras. At one time I had 11 going but I have been downsizing.
