So here is a pic. of my 'partridge' brahma from Papas Poultry. I am assuming that he is a he judging by the stance and the pink comb and wattles. Is this rare? Were both parents carrying a recessive white gene or something? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

OK, I have just realized something, in going back and looking at the descriptions. Is it possible that this is a 'gold' chick? These chickens are described as Gold/Blue/Splash not BBS (sorry, my mistake). If so, what is the adult coloring?

I was indeed hoping for something different but at this point she (hopefully) is the only one. If the next batch is similar, the conversation becomes different and a new source will have to be sought out. Thanks for posting the photo, sweet little fuzzies.

I am hatching out some BBS partridge Brahmas and I was wondering if you could tell me how the chicks color out as hatchlings. I have one newly hatched this morning who is pale yellow. Would she perhaps be blue or splash or impossible to tell so early? Thanks.
