Okay, I'll do some long soaks to really soften it more and then try again. Does anyone know if lavender or eucalyptus "scented" epsom salts are okay to use for soaking (obviously would not her her drink from it). We're running low on epsom salt now after all these soaks, and that's the only kind...

I was under the impression that I could only get oral antibiotics from a vet. Is that not true?

We've been trying to avoid that given the pandemic, but may have to take her if it doesn't start clearing up. I checked on her late last night and it actually felt as if the swelling had gone down, so I'll watch and if it stops improving or gets worse, taking her to the vet might be the best...

So, I've been doing daily foot soaks and applying Neosporin. The scab seems to be slightly lifting off the foot pad. Would that be a signal to try looking for a kernel again? I don't want to restart the whole process too early, but I also do not want to wait for it to get worse.
