DAY SEVEN
Now it's just the 2 of us working at it. Today we put in a drain in the middle of the coop. Installed the automatic pop door and put in the front steps. Tomorrow - in with the linoleum and the actual windows & door.
Finished product so far....
DAY SIX
Son has left - only myself, hubby and daughter are slinging hammers....
The results are that we got the rest of the siding up and all the doors and window openings done. Well... except for the one opening my hubby and I are arguing about.... And most of the painting is done.
DAY FIVE
Daughter came for the 're-wedding' and to help with the construction.
Now we have 2 younger than us folks to help. And capable - that always helps!
Now at the end of the day, the now Husband and 2 young'ins sit around admiring their work. Son had fun with the side of it...

How the heck did this thing get so tall?? Daughter came home for wedding and we put her to work!
These kids are so agile.... Like monkeys and they are in their 30's!
This is all we could get done by noon as we had to stop here....

Day Three
Rain today - got side 3 and roof rafters on.... went and bought more supplies -- Lowe's Loves Us!
Tomorrow will be a short day - gotta stop early to get ready cause "We're going to the chapel and we're goina get marrrieeed". That was a song in case you didn't recognize it.
Day Two
No rain!! Whawho! Got the floor and 1 1/2 walls done. This is a lean-to style coop. Was suppose to be 12x8 - due to screw up on the squaring it is actually 10 1/2 x 8.
Back wall faces south. 5 feet will be storage. 7 feet will be hen housing. Large window opening framed in.

Yeah, you can get more chickens!
I have 3 chickens and a duck. The plan is to add another 3-5 a year for at least 3 yrs. Maybe take a break.... But what I do is buy the chicks and leave them with my niece and grand-niece to raise. First year there were 4 chicks. Only 3 made it here...
