I have decided to go with the red. I like it well enough to use during the holidays. I will
continue on each night until I get it done. Will show more pictures when I get a few more m
motifs on. How are you all coming along on yours?
I have to make this comment. The pattern is not that well...
To attach motifs go by the picture as much as you can. I never do exactly what
they say because sometimes it looks bad. I stick my hook through the picot on the doily as shown
then I pull the loop through from the motif.
Pulled through. Ch 1, sc in same dc on motif.
One motif petal...
I cannot do anything when I am tired. I make way too many mistakes in everything I do. I am having trouble with the last row of the doily part. It seems a little too full and ruffely . I may have to use less sc's in the previous rows. For now thought I am going to go by the pattern. I hate...
That is pretty!! Nine will go fast once you make a couple. It's always hard with the first few. I did do the center first. I never follow directions all the way through.
I think it's just a typo. Just checked pattern. It is a typo. I have the doily part done. Nope ch 1 is just ch 1, It is not a sc. It just makes joining easier.
Kass it's real easy to join motifs. I will try to do a written out tutorial with pictures. It might take me awhile though. I am...
I liked it. Looks a lot better than a big ole hole. As for sloppy...I think it would look great if yellow beads were used with red petals. I will do my own thing. I was only trying to give the other crocheters something different to think about. I decided to remove the link. Maybe it's best to...
I am using red and white.
I have also been taking out rows. grrrrr. It's been a long time since I have read a pattern. Usually I just look at it and go from there.
I use a tapestry needle to weave in the ends when the doily is done. Or you could use your hook. It's not hard. Really it's not. It's more time consuming than hard.
The cream tan doily has been selected as our cal.

Have fun. I will try to answer questions if your having a problem with the pattern. I have looked at it and it looks pretty easy. I will start mine tonight. I have to work on my cat quilt during...
Have you tried herrschners:
http://www.herrschners.com/dept/Crochet+Thread+1.aspx
I usually buy there and find a coupon code. I do a google search before I even shop there. Not sure how they stack up to the other stores. I do buy at joann sometimes with a 50% coupon and buy the jumbo crochet...
Your right. those are in public domain. I like all of them. I really love the wreath doily. Christmas is a coming. The sites listed in the first post are all in public domain. These sites have been around for a long time. Mine was started in 2005. I closed the first one and went into quilting. I...
That site is publishing a lot of copyrighted patterns. I am not sure I want to go that way. I would not feel right about it. I have a lot of magic crochet magazines and they are still under copyright protection. It would be bad for this board as well. Please stick to the guidelines below...
I would pick this one. For a couple of reasons. One it would be nice done in Christmas colors and two it's not as complicated as you might think. It's a pretty pattern.
