There are very little backyard chickens people own them in rural areas but not in the city.People get very excited and also surprised when I tell them I have chickens!

It sure doesn't stop the pecking but it prevents the babies from getting a nasty infection,it's methylene blue (or purple :P) My hens and rooster are just complete bullies!
No idea of the breed I'm suspecting they're a mix probably here's a picture of them (Please excuse the blue dye,my hen was kind of a bully and pecked 'em on the head):
