We have 2 other outside dogs, but I haven't let them around him yet. When he first came home though, he wanted to eat any cat that came near him and if we took him for a ride and left him in the car to run in somewhere, he would bark and growl at the window at anyone near him. He now...
Michelle, I remember that story! I'm glad Thunder is doing well! Did you have any "dominant dog" issues?
As far as neutering is concerned, most vets suggest (or won't do it w/out) a senior blood panal (usu. about $65) just to be sure the majpr organs are functioning correctly. But the...
Thanks, Barnyard, for the tip. I'll give it a try. Sometimes, when dogs are leashed, they become more defensive - but they obviously can't have free access to each other!
Also, thanks to all for the support! It's encouraging!

Yeah - he could have a bit of several breeds. He doesn't have too much of the herding tendencies. So far he hasn't been chasing smaller critters (cats, barnyard fowl, etc). Hopefully he continues to ignore them!

My stupid camera broke, and I don't have a cell phone w/that capability
Just picture a solid black dog, but for a little silvering at the tip of his muzzle (he's about 7 yrs old). He's a chow mix (+ McNab(?), with black spots on his tongue, about 35 lbs (he's underweight). His...
Our town has a (fairly disturbed) guy who had a black chow-mix dog named "Mister Nobody". He walked this dog around town every day. One day, a couple years ago, another local bum attacked the guy, so the dog bit him (I'll call the bitee '"Big Bob" and the dog's owner "Jack"). Well, Big Bob...
