Nevermind, I think I found what I was thinking. It was a proposed ban in Iowa, they're tried to pass it a few time because they believed it was the animal waste side of fertilizer getting into the Mississippi river from wash. I knew I kept hearing it, and was thinking its not your basic manure...
Now, I'm confused, so here's a good place to ask. There are farms not allowed to use animal by-products to fertilize due to the USDA statements on contaimination. Is this federal or State to State?
It was really just for the link to sign the petition... trying to aim at GMO Alfalfa...
I'm shocked this thread hasn't been closed yet though...
So... RANT ON!

I would imagine their site covers the issues from their standpoint about the same as their opponents' websites cover their opposing view.
I guess my point in posting those links was...and I've said this before.....every viewpoint can quote something to support their view whether it's...
As for this quote:
"Since 1997, we have only filed suit against farmers 145 times in the United States. This may sound like a lot, but when you consider that we sell seed to more than 250,000 American farmers a year, its really a small number. Of these, weve proceeded through trial with only...

I have no doubt that some farmers did save seed and replant them to try to save money. There are also farmers who had nothing to do with GMO and didn't want GMO and ended up with loses because of cross contaimination. 2 sides of the coin.

Yes, that is your right...as it is my right to grow the crops I choose to.
And it does feel personal.....just as I'm sure you'd feel it was personal if I was signing petitions against your business.
It's still my right. Its like voting democratic or republician (or liberal). If I vote...
Whatever you were going to say, I appreciate you keeping it off the thread.
Again, this is not personally against you. This is my view on want I want as a consumer. Its my right.

You will please note I said every fat person that I know personally.....altho I think not being active....and I'm not talking about your son......does weigh in on why most people are overweight.
I have stayed out of this thread up until now....but I will say, as I've said before, you...

it is more likely a combination of several things. You just can't say everyone's lazy and should get up more. People could start to move again, but their diets are still poor. I blame that on the department of health and the poor insurance coverages along with the usda's horrible...

I think the fact that we have become a nation of fat people has more to do with the fact that as a whole the U.S. has become a nation of couch potatoes. Even kids who used to come home and go outside to play now come home from school and sit in front of a video game or the TV....as do...
I look at it as 'health' over 'well fed', I prefer 'quality' over 'quanity', and I think they call them 'chemicals' for the reason they are not 'food'... hence poison control hotlines.

I understand what you're trying to say. but I think if an animal is only getting 10% of the nutrition in a food, it wouldn't take long to notice serious issues, when reality is most feed commercial pellets that contain GMO grain, and yet the birds are all healthy.
That's why I'd like...

It's fairly easy to tell when an animal isn't getting proper nutrition based on body condition, and in the case of chickens, egg production.
People eat relatively little GMO products as a percentage of their total diets, so it would be hard to see any effects outside a...

Why is it we don't have to feed our chickens 10 X more feed then?
Or does it only apply to humans, in which case my question would be why aren't people starving while eating these grains?
Do you have sources for any of those studies?
As for chickens and such, I would assume once you...

I think you are both arguing the same point from difference stances... but are both getting back to the same end. We all see different things in different ways, and the SAME things through different spectrums of light...but from the same sun!
Anyways....
Honestly, is something isn't...
