    We actually went to one of the chicken seminars and was told one of the best natural de-wormers for chickens is pumpkins. Not sure if it's true but we give ours pumpkins and have never had any problems with worms..

    I haven't heard of the 10 chick minimum anywhere before but then I'm close to Chicago. At the TSC here it's a 6 chick minimum and the Farm and Fleet we went into it was 4. 10 seems like an awful lot. It's sad that the cute chicks who grow up to be adults have to pay the price

    Hi All. I'm originally from Crete/Monee area and am now right over the border in Hoosier land. Having lived in farm towns we never had much in the way of pets so having chickens is all new to me...Hoping to learn a lot!!
