we are leasing with a purchase option, we will be buying it, but for business reasons it's better that we lease for at least the next year... that's the place we're moving to.
and the place we're in now is leased.
ok, so the papers won't be ready until next week... so I'm not going out to move stuff on Sunday... so no new pictures this weekend.
but then, I did find a few more photos that are clear enough to post, so get your popcorn, here you go!

well it's kind of a unique property with the berm house so I'm not sure it's a good measure, a little over $200k, but here's what prices are looking like in general:
land runs between about $1500/acre (undeveloped woods with no marketable timber) to $4000/acre (high quality pasture...
so we're in the final stages of working out the agreement, just need to get papers finalized and signed. if we can get that done this week, I'll be taking a trip out there this weekend with the first load of things to be moved!

*so*excited*
we do have windows, but only on one side of the house. I'm thinking we may need to put a skylight in the bedroom and the livingroom, but that's not an immediate problem to solve.

the pasture
the pond
a bit of the house (remember, it's burried in the hill)
the chicken house (needs some work!) the smoke stack there is my chimney, and the grass in the foreground...
seriously we must be related...
had bats when I was a kid (my dad did bat research...) and I'm fascinated with the naked mole rats but my hubby thinks they're creepy. got a giraffe in the living room (ok, he's 6' tall and carved and painted in indonesia). wombats, though, those I could make...
it's in south west Missouri about 45 minutes west of springfield.
thank you all for being excited for me, that just makes it even more fun!
Pictures will be coming shortly!
and I'm so excited!
it's beautiful, it's in the middle of nowhere on a gravel road, you can't see the neighbors in any direction, and you can't hear traffic anywhere.
83 acres, exterior fenced for cows, about 25 acres in pasture 35 in mature woods, and the rest was pasture 4 years ago...
