That's a darn good list. Too bad the OP disappeared after only to posts. :( What would you add to it and what's too detailed?

More detail on crop, poops, and pest inspection...something about abdominal swelling should be added.
Thought the respiration/heart, tho comb coloration(purple) could be added, and oral cavity was a bit much for a general exam, especially for a beginner<shrugs>.
It's a d@mn good outline tho.
