Impacted crop in duck?

I've got a Pekin that I think might have an impacted crop. He's looks like it, doesn't have good balance, lays down a lot. He's looked this way most of his life, he's 10 weeks old, but I just thought he was deformed. He didn't absorb his yolk sac in the egg, and we were sure he wouldn't even make it, but he lived. He's been "special" ever since. But now he's having a hard time getting around and doesn't seem well. I found a pic of a duck with an impacted crop and he looks just like that. I read that you should be able to feel it in there and massage it to break it up, but I don't feel anything, it's all soft. So I'm confused to what the problem is. Does anyone have advise?

Wondering if it might be partly something like a yeast infection as well.

I might put a half a teaspoon of coconut oil on some treats for him. It might lubricate the digestive tract and it is said to help with yeast infections.

If you can get to a good duck vet, that is best. I understand it's not always an option.

Maybe some probiotics could help?

Thanks, I'll try that. He's even worse this morning, has no energy, and just looks sad. I tried getting him to eat tomatoes with crushed garlic yesterday, but he refused. The only thing he'll eat is watermelon and peas. My husband tried feeling the crop area, and he didn't feel anything either. But it's so distended, almost touches the ground when he walks. I feel so bad for my little guy.

What ever happened? I am having the SAME exact issue with my two ducks

I've tried chest compression and massages to work the impact up. I made her throw up a bunch of water. But no matter how much I do that, I feel like the impact just gets bigger. Sadly, my little guy passed away not long after I wrote on here. I found a ton of different remedies online and I tried them all. I even bought him a duck bra to help hold his crop up. I'm pretty sure he wasn't formed right on the inside. He hadn't absorbed any of his yolk sac when he hatched. It was fully attached to him. He was very weak, but we nursed him to health, and he lived for about 3 months. Oh no, I am sorry to hear that. The crop seems to have gotten bigger and a bit harder today. I am starting to lose all hope, she is having a lot of trouble walking. How long did she die when the crop issue started?

He died about 2 weeks after I posted. He just got weaker and weaker, and in the end he'd only eat blueberries. I gave him probiotics, apple cider vinegar, and was grinding his duck food up into a paste to make it easier for him to eat. But he wouldn't touch it. Also tried egg yolk. I brought him inside and he slept in my daughters room. I got in touch with a farmer who has ducks and asked her if she could take a look at him. At first she told me he should be put down, and that she'd do it for me. I agreed to it since he was suffering and just wasting away. But once I gave him to her, she kept him alive for a few more days, and he died on his own. I was really mad that she didn't put him down like she was supposed to. I would have kept him home with me had I known that. He was close to us, and he was our favorite.

Do you have a vet you can take your duck to? After mine passed, I did find a vet that takes exotic animals, but he was kinda far from me. I hatched 3 other ducks along with him, and they are all doing great, but I still miss that little guy. Here he is with laying his head on the brown duck.
