Ivy is the fifth bird I had who appeared to be dying from internal laying. She had all the same symptoms as the others, was so thin, she had no meat on the breast area at all. The others all died, the last being Rosemary a couple of months ago. In fact, Ivy, stood over her, protecting her and was almost on her death bed herself.
Ivy laid an EGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She looks and acts healthy again, and even though she hasn't gained back all her weight, she is beautiful and fiesty and is allowing the roosters to mate her and she laid an egg, first time in maybe five months. What on earth? Wonder if it was an infection she got over? Before Rosemary died, she looked like she was almost gone herself. Hallelujah! Good riddance, 2008. Hellooooo to 2009!!

Great news maybe the eggs dissolved inside of her? if thats even possible or you will find some giant mass of eggs that she passed like in the others. Thats great news what a better start to 2009!

Man oh man so glad to hear good news in 2009! Been a rough 12 months for the 2006 chicks.
