I just read, somewhere in cyberspace, that round eggs=hens and oval shaped eggs =roosters.

I've been around a loooooong time and I've never heard this one.

Anyone else ever heard of this?

I wish it was that easy as then i would know what shape eggs to request when ordering eggs !

Ive heard of it !! People have tryed it many times.... Didnt work !!

Just think if it did we all wouldnt have to many roosters !!
 
Nope...never heard that one. I guess it would work if you had one of those big, red, "easy" buttons from staples. Ha!!

I love hearing "old wives tales". Some of them are just hillarious!!
 
I've always heard that and always try to cull any sharply pointed eggs. Crazy I guess but if it works sometimes its worth it.

As Speckledhen already pointed out if this did work the hatcheries wouldn't have to cull cockerels.

It would be great if it worked, but it is a myth.
